  We hired William build us a Garage, which was mistake. We started looking around in Feb 2017, we wanted all the details right by the time we were ready to start in Jul. We went in Jul 12 to finalize every detail and paid a 50% deposit. William told us that they’d start the 1st week of Aug. We had the site prepped and let him know it was all set. He said OK, stated that he would be at our house on the Monday the 7th, the day came and passed no one can that week came. We called got his daughter, William was out of town. We he did return he had said that his crew started another job while he was gone and we were next. After many phone calls they came on Aug 24 to start and set post only. The next time we would see them was Sep 4, the came in the morning, ate lunch and left. They did show up again on Wed and Thur. They came 2 days the next week, then stopped all work because William forgot to order our garage doors in July so we had to wait 2 weeks for them to come. Now that the building is up and took over a month to do, though we were told 7-10days from start to finish, let me tell you the mistakes and issues. 1) Our windows are too low and when William came he agreed that they were to low (nothing done) 2) When we were in the planning stage we told William that we want the door spaced out away from the garage door. We came home and the door was installed and walls were up. The door was on the corner on the corner beam. It opens up and hits the garage door. When we told William, his response was that he should have told them to leave enough space, but he'll remember for the next one. 3) Every time my wife called to ask a question they were rude to her, my wife told the daughter she is frustrated with all the mistakes, the daughter said that she was frustrated with all the phone calls. My wife's response was glad to know that your mistakes and promises not kept are bothering you. 4)We ordered garage openers, when Mohawks "professional" was installing the doors he said that our door openers wouldn’t work so we had to go through Mohawk for door openers that were $200 more than the ones we ordered. After Mohawks guy installed he asked my wife to pay him for the installation of the door openers immediately. When we got out final bill from Mohawk we were billed again for the installation of the door openers. 5)No studding was done, when my wife brought this up to William, he said they don't include that, though it was originally included now it’s not something they would do. 6)After the building was done we had an independent inspector come and go through the building. Several issues came up that we have to do out of our pocket in addition to what we have paid: We have to support the loft floor - you can see where it sags and have to be careful where we step because it’s not supported and one board started cracking. We have to pay someone to move the door that is hitting the garage door. We have to have a garage door opener redone because they push too hard on the poles and was told at that pressure they will break and hurt someone or break our garage doors. We have to add vented soffits they only added 6 small strips. All this will cost us about another $7500-$8500 additional. That will make our additional total of $10,000 (on top of what we already paid them). That would put us at $1000 more than the Company who is down the road. When we asked William to come out to look at these mistakes he looked us in the face and said everything was fine. He was clearly fine with all these mistakes and not concerned with the safety of my family. My wife wanted to go to the other company she knew them (even though they were more), but I talked her in going with the Amish because they’re known for their work and it was apples to apples. Boy was I wrong. The quality is terrible, it took 7 weeks for a 7-10day project, things said they include, they don't even do. I have so much more I can say, but I’d be here for days typing.
